INORMATION AND STORE POLICIES

      Thanks for visiting. We appreciate your interest, and we'll try to be as helpful as possible.  It's our policy to be honest and reliable, and we welcome your feedback, comments, and suggestions. 
  
     We're avid collectors who are always acquiring new items, and some treasured items must be sold to make room for the new acquisitions. The treasured, but displaced, items are the merchandise that is sold through Railroad Galaxy Brass Trains.

     We're not a brick and mortar dealer, so we sell the items for prices well below retail.  The items usually are sold as received from various sources (collections, auctions, and local sales). The item history is usually unknown, but we will fully disclose all known conditions and features in the description. 

 

     This page lists our shipping, return, and other important policies that define our view of the seller and customer relationship.

STORE POLICIES

Customer Satisfaction: Customer satisfaction is very important to us, and we strive to be 10-star sellers. If you have any questions before you buy, any problems with your purchase, or feel that we did not perform at a 10 star level, please contact us and we'll do our best to help.

 

Money Back Guarantee: If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, please return the item, and we will gladly and promptly refund your purchase price. Items must be returned in the condition sent, and the shipping costs must be paid by the buyer.

 

Shipping Cost: Items are shipped within 24 hours of receipt of payment.  Domestic USA shipments are free of charge.  International shipments are billed at the actual shipping cost only, and we are happy to combine purchases.

 

Source of Items: All trains come from collections, auctions, and local sales, so that the item's history is usually unknown. The items are placed for sale EXACTLY as received from the sources. All KNOWN conditions (features, characteristics, flaws, and other pertinent information) are disclosed in the description. Questions are welcome, and they will be answered completely and honestly in a prompt manner.

 

 

Grading Standards: Train Collector Association (TCA) standards are used to rate the item's condition. Please note that these grading standards make no claims about the item's operational capabilities (how well, or even if, the item works). Since we have no effective way to test items, we make no claims about the item's operational capability, either expressed or implied. In our opinion, and with the exceptions noted in the description, the item meets the rating standard, and corresponding rating description, specified in the listing.

 

 

Offers: We will consider all reasonable offers for the items in inventory.  To make an offer on an item, send an email with your offer through the Contact Page.  If we accept your offer, the price will be adjusted during checkout, and an invoice with the adjusted price will be sent for payment.

 

 

Payment: We accept personal checks, cashiers checks, money orders, and PayPal for payment.  Cashiers check, money order, and PayPal payments get immediate shipment.  Personal checks must clear our bank before the item is shipped, and it typically takes about 10 days for a personal check to clear our bank.  There is a 3% surcharge for PayPal payments (to cover the PayPal fee), and this surcharge will be added to the final invoice.

 

 

 

CONSIGNMENTS

     We accept consignments.  To consign trains, please contact us through the Contact Page to discuss the items you wish to consign.  If we think we can sell your items promptly, we will send our consignment agreement for your consideration.  If you agree to the consigment terms, we will complete the assignment agreement, and you can then send us the items at your expense.  We will take quality photographs, write descriptions, and post the items on our website.  You determine the price and the length of the consignment.   If the items sell, we will package and ship the items to the buyer at our expense and keep 20% of the selling price.  The sales balance will be sent promptly to your PayPal account or through surface mail, as desired.  You can end the consignment at any time, and we will return your items promptly.  The return shipping cost is the consignors expense.
